Eastside Academy photo event.

  Eastside Academy Senior Photo Event

On Saturday, June 1, Red Pants Studio will be taking portraits for 10 seniors from Eastside Academy .
Eastside Academy impacts the lives of at-risk youth in our community by inspiring change through high school education, counseling, recovery, and skills programs in a Christ-centered environment.

Why we’re doing this?
Senior photos give students an opportunity to show off who they are and mark the completion of their journey. Typically students use these pictures on graduation invitations and announcements, social media and many other places.
Our goal is to make this a fun-filled day to remember for the seniors, and provide them with a great set of photos to remember and celebrate their hard work.  The sessions will be even more special, since we’ll shoot the portraits on location at Urban Light Studio, in the Green lake area of North Seattle for this day.
And, closer to the heart, we want to embrace the opportunity to reach out and have an impact on someone.

How can you help?
Thanks for asking. Yes, all of this is completely voluntary.
The photographers have donated their time to shoot. The retoucher has donated much of the following week to help produce the images.
There are other opportunities to:

Sponsor: $1,000 goal
·         We’ll have 4 stations. Each station will cost $250.00 to cover the expense for the day at the studio.
·         Donations are only to cover the expense of the rental space.
·         Any funds raised above that total will be given to Eastside Academy.
·         Questions, please call Drew at 425-879-7378

Provide Food: Appetizers and drinks for a dozen high school kids.

Volunteer On-Site:  Join the fun, we will find enough work for anyone who wants to help.
·         Time slots are 1 hour long and allow for two per hour.
·         Moving light weight equipment, computer input-no photo shop knowledge required, name tags, form collection,
·         Don’t want to work? Come and hang out with us.

The mighty Retro Kitchen

Atomic Ranch was the first thing that came to mind when I walked into this kitchen. The rest of the house is matching, but I had the task of shooting just the kitchen.
From the hanging vent hood to the colored glass, the kidney shaped counter, and the double oven.
Rich in history, a real time capsule. The black and white is... well just time fitting. Enjoy the pics.

Many thanks to the great team over at Sound Kitchen and Bath for the recognition I received on the Tami Michaels remodel project. It is a real honor. You can check out the progress on the Sound Kitchen and Bath projects page.

Stay tuned for more to come.

People of integrity

Thanks to my camera, I have the opportunity to shake hands with professionals from many trades. The images I capture may not always illustrate their dedication, principles and passion, but they never-the-less they live those characteristics.

I recently had the opportunity to photograph two professionals who embody their mission statement (see below) and have truly mastered their trade. Builders Owen Roberts and Bryan Wygal are not just committed to their craft, they are passionate about it. And you can see that in the photos hanging around their office. Their fingerprints can be found on many beautiful homes and business' here in the Northwest, and I'm looking forward to learning more about the company when an interview of Owen is posted on the NW real estate forum

Roberts * Wygal Mission Statement
We believe that truly superior homes are built by people of integrity – whose simple, timeless principles direct both the building process and their own personal lives. These principles include impeccable honesty, attention to fine detail, clear communication among all participants, and a dedication to doing things right the first time. Our goal is to create homes that embody our ethics and make a lasting contribution to the quality of life in our community.
